Rachel Drewe-Phillips feels she is the right person in the right job as admin manager for AMS Physiotherapy.
Almost always the first person a new client will encounter is Rachel.
The former business finance student is more than just someone who books appointments.
“I try to be as empathetic as possible when a patient contacts us,” said Rachel, the mother of a football-mad six-year-old.
“I chat with them when the first make contact, book the appointments they want and keep records of their treatment.
“The most satisfying part of the job is seeing them leave pain free.”
After gaining an NVQ in business finance Rachel went to work in the healthcare sector and has been there ever since.
“That was 12 years ago – the last 10 of them with AMS Physiotherapy in Exeter,” said Rachel.
As admin manager she is responsible for 12 physiotherapists working in nine different clinics in Devon and Somerset.
Rachel is also PA to Adrian Small, who set up AMS Physiotherapy in 2002.
Away from the clinic Rachel’s outside interests are traveling with Norway and Los Angeles high on the list of places she wants to visit.
She goes ‘spinning’ – static indoor cycling – most weeks and enjoys a few lengths in the swimming pool a couple of times a month.
“As the mother of a six-year-old boy who plays football and goes to judo classes, there isn’t time to fit much more in,” said Rachel.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
