I chose Physiotherapy as a career because I enjoy the process of helping people recover and get back to the things they enjoy in life.
I trained as a mature student at London South Bank University while working part-time. I was then privileged to start my clinical experience at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London where my interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation began.
I am passionate about trying to apply the best available evidence to practice and am currently involved in an NHS-based research project to help physiotherapists understand more fully the impact of muscle and joint pain on an individual’s whole life – as this can predict better recovery.
As a dad to two young boys I don’t have much spare time, but when I do I enjoy getting out on my bike and reading a good crime novel.
