Miss Jemima Moger Jemima Moger

Since qualifying from Brunel University I have worked in both the public and private sectors, developing skills in many areas including Musculoskeletal, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Pain management. I have always had a special interest in the management of Musculoskeletal disorders and to complement my skills as a physiotherapist in this field I qualified as a Body Control Pilates Instructor before starting my physiotherapy degree.

I have a particular interest in the treatment of the spine and last year completed a course in Australia which specialised in the assessment and treatment of the spine and earned a Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. This has allowed me to begin a Masters Degree in this area from Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia which will enable me to develop further my knowledge of the treatment of Musculoskeletal disorders with a particular focus on the spine.

I also have a strong interest in the management of Chronic Pain and have worked in the Pain Management Unit at The National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath, helping patients to return to a functional and fulfilling life despite suffering from chronic pain, a debilitating disorder for many people. Within this field I also gained considerable experience of treating patients, both adolescents and adults, suffering from Hypermobility Syndrome.

As a Musculoskeletal practitioner I use various manual techniques including Maitland, McKenzie and the Mulligan concept and so can select the most appropriate treatment for the individual patient. To expand further my treatment options I have also completed a post-graduate training in acupuncture and am a practising member of the AACP.

I regularly attend training courses both to further develop my current skills and also to ensure that my knowledge of the continually developing field of physiotherapy is right up-to-date.

The skills I have learnt and continue to learn have allowed me to develop a treatment approach that is holistic and specific for every patient.

In my spare time I enjoy catching up with friends who are dotted all around the country. I also enjoy playing tennis, going for long walks and have just started to learn to rock climb which helps keep me fit and possibly slightly mad.

Jemima works at Clevedon on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
